The very first Stitch Fix Kids box my girls received was from my mom for Christmas. They absolutely loved it! My kids love surprises, so when that box of clothes arrived at our door, they were super excited. Sydni and Sadie immediately ripped the boxes open and did a fashion show for their dad and me. So much fun!

Here’s How Stitch Fix Kids Works

Go to the Stitch Fix Kids website and type in a budget amount that you are willing to spend. There is also an extensive list of questions about your kid’s size, build, style, what they like, is there anything they don’t like or won’t wear. Stitch Fix Kids builds a profile for your kiddo and updates it with your feedback after every box. I was very impressed with the detail that goes into this. Your kid’s stylist will then hand select 8-12 pieces for their perfect fit and style. Sizes range from 2T-14.

I do find that the more information and feedback that you give your stylist, the more successful the Fix will be, so make sure to give lots of feedback and information about your kids style.

Get a Fix whenever you want.

No subscription is required. You can just set up a one time Fix or you can set up automatic deliveries. We currently have a Fix scheduled for every 3 months. Your kid will try on the pieces at home before you buy. Keep their favorites and send back the rest.

Free shipping, returns, and exchanges.

A prepaid envelope is included, so it’s super easy to return items. You are only charged for the items that you decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee per Fix, but it gets credited toward anything your kid keeps.

I love how excited my girls get waiting for these boxes to come. I’m into fashion, so this is exciting for me too!

Style Shuffle

You can go into the Stitch Fix Kids website and do a style shuffle where they will show you pieces of clothing and you give each item a thumbs up or a thumbs down. My girls have been doing this on the daily. It must work, because they have pretty much loved everything that their stylist has picked out for them (and Sadie is super picky with sensitive skin. She won’t wear anything that isn’t comfortable, has itchy tags, etc.) She’s a bit high maintenance. I wonder where she gets that trait?

My girls just received another Fix and there was only one shirt that Sydni didn’t love (I didn’t love it on her either) but we kept it because you get a 25% discount if you keep every item in your box. It was less expensive to keep it than to send it back, so we can gift it to a friend or save it for Sadie. Sadie loved all of her items!

I love that a lot of the brands are brands that I’ve never heard of. (Items are sourced from more than 50 brands.) The pieces are unique to your kid’s personality and their life and it just feels so personalized.

Attention to Detail

My girls stylists seem to really pay attention to what will fit them well. Sydni and Sadie are built very differently. Sydni is bigger through the middle and pretty short, so it can be hard to find clothes that fit her right. Stitch Fix pays attention to that and they send pieces that are very flattering for her. This last Fix had a pair of jeans for her that were the perfect length (most that we find are way too long on her) and they have a wide waistband with triple snaps, which is great for a wider mid-region.

Sadie, on the other hand, has a super tiny waist, so a lot of times to get her pants to fit through the waist, they are too short. Not with Stitch Fix-they send her the perfect fit!

Here are all of the items that Sadie received with her last fix and a break down of the cost just to give you an idea. She received 10 items for around $160 total. Sydni’s was right around the same amount for 10 items.
